Strategies to Enhance Your Marketing Efforts

Marketing strategy is an important aspect of every brand and business. Sometimes, it can feel overwhelming trying to stay caught up with the latest marketing trends as they evolve. We’ve highlighted 5 great marketing strategies that are a great starting point and serve as a guideline! These strategies can be executed in many different ways and are flexible enough to evolve with the ever-changing marketing trends!


1. Get all the reviews that you can

Reviews are incredibly important, especially when you’re first starting out! When you are new to an industry, especially within real estate, people may be hesitant to work with you if they don’t think other people have yet. Reviews are so good for building that trust and setting the expectation of great service for your client.

If you are just starting out and haven’t worked with any clients yet, you can still rack in the reviews! Have your work colleagues, mentors, friends, or family leave you reviews! Even if the didn’t work with you as a client, they can all be a testament to your work ethic and positive characteristics!

2. Position Yourself as a thought leader

This is a big one when trying to make yourself stand out from others in your industry. Make sure you’re always seeking out new information that will be relevant and helpful for your clients. Staying up-to-date on current news and information within your industry will give you the ability to confidently help your client to the best of your ability.

Using your knowledge and sharing it in the form of a blog or social media post is a great way to get your name out there and position yourself as a thought leader!

3. Add value

Consistently look for ways that you can go above and beyond for your clients outside of your expected responsibilities. Adding value to people who aren’t your clients yet can also be a great way to draw them in. Whether that’s including a free downloadable PDF with helpful market information on your website or doing a Q & A on your Instagram stories, there are countless ways to add value for current and potential clients!

4. Update Your Google My Business Page

Make sure you update your Google My Business page at least once each week. The updates don’t need to be anything huge, but they can be as simple as uploading a new photo or adding a link to a new blog post! The more you update your page, the more content that Google has to share. These updates also show Google that your page is active and maintained, and it gives your page a better chance of being pulled up when people use the Google search engine.

5. Get out there!

Out of all of the marketing strategies, arguably, the most important one is to get yourself out there. This doesn’t mean that you need to be door knocking or cold calling (unless you want to). But getting out there and forming real human connections with people and showing them who you are as a person is such an effective way to gain great clients. Some ways to get out there are to find networking events in your area, grab a cup of coffee with someone, or join a networking group! There’s always something going on, so get out there and find it!
