In an attempt to keep up with the rapid growth of Tik Tok, Instagram released its reels feature in 2020. Reels allow users to create video content containing short clips up to 30 seconds long. Users can use their own sound or set their videos to trending sounds in Instagram’s library. Reels can be shared on your feed and stories, and there is a special tab on your profile that stores all of your reels for easy access in the future.
